How to Do the Smoky Eye Makeup Look - The Right Way!

One of the sexiest makeup looks is the smoky eye. However, if done incorrectly, this look be able to be disasterous. There is nothing extra unappealing than a smoky eye look done incorrect. A woman be able to end up looking like a clown, raccoon or zombie. Not good looks. When done correct, however, a lady can end up looking like a sensual, attractive goddess. You have to start off with the right basics. The first thing you’ll need is a good foundation. You choose your skin tone to be even and your skin to look its best. Go for a coverage that’s not too matte, not too dewy.
Rather than with foundation and powder because a base on your eyes, try a shadow base especially designed for this purpose. Following your base has been applied, go for a light blush on the cheeks. Sheer rose or a pinky-peach color is nice. A light flush is preferable to dark blush. At this moment, it’s period to move to the eyes. Apply a sheer wash of a medium toned neutral each higher than the lid ending at the browbone. Then, practice black gel or liquid eyeliner and trace around the whole eye, because close to the lash lid as you be able to get. After the eyeliner is completely dry, cover with one coat of black eye pencil, then smudge softly.
The next step is to practice a charcoal colored powder shadow on the lid. The color must be most intense on the lid and crease, then blended gently to the browbone. Add a touch of white or cream colored shadow on the browbone to accent the eye and give a highlight. Then, usage the dark charcoal shade again with a slanted brush to practice it above your eyeliner beneath the eye. Dust a translucent powder above your eye makeup to set it. Then, curl your lashes using a cool eyelash curler (I like Shu Uemura’s eyelash curler) and exercise two coats of black lengthening mascara. Of course, you be able to also practice false lashes if you like for an even extra dramatic look.
The smoky eye should be balanced with nude lips. Or, go for a color that is because close to your natural lip color because possible. A light gloss is OK but anything too shiny (or too matte) will take attention from your eyes. A word of wisdom — don’t ever try dark eyes and dark lips which gives an overmade appearance.

Black and Purple Smokey Eye.

hey guys. just a quick video, i was strapped for time so it’s your basic black and purple smokey eye. i didn’t go over much which sucks, but Monday (which is tomorrow) i will have a better video up. i promise! lol. enjoy…
i used my coastal scents shimmer palette and a bridal palette. black eyeliner and black mascara.
it’s all about blending! put a black all over your lid, trying not to go over the crease. once you do that, take your blending brush and start blending the black color upward towards your brow, but not all the way. once you get the shape you desire, take a dark purple and go over the black just above the crease. don’t forget your highlighter under your brow and in the corners of your eyes! make sure you take the black and line under your lower lash as well. finish it off with black eyeliner (liquid or whatever you prefer) and some mascara and voila! yougot a quick smokey eye with a little color.

Homemade Lemon & Sugar Exfoliator!!!
I learned this little ‘recipe’ in makeup school and I never heard of it before til then, so I can never get over how easy and clever it is!! I wanted to share it with everyone, just in case some haven’t heard of it!
Like I said in the video, it wouldn’t hurt to do a little research on Alpha Hydroxy Acids as well, it’s good stuff!
Anyway, hope it helps!
