Fish Turned Beauty Experts in India

WONG:
If you’ve got tired and sore feet and need some pampering, a fish pedicure might be the answer. This new age beauty treatment is catching on in China, Japan and other countries. Let’s take a look.
STORY:
It seems fish have emerged as the new age beauty expert at this salon and spa. Moving around in a tub of warm water, numerous small fish nibble away at dead skin, leaving the hands and feet shiny and smooth.
Not your everyday makeover, the fish pedicure or manicure offers a unique ticklish and lively experience to those who dare to try it.
[Rahim, Naturals Salon and Spa]:
“We wanted to make it much more enjoyable and fun loving for people. We thought that when they come here, they should enjoy and have a good experience. We wanted to give them a lively experience and through fish pedicure we have been able to give them that.”
The idea behind the spa was to find a replacement for scrubbers. But they found a fish called garra rufa or ‘Doctor Fish’ that can handle the beauty treatments.
They nibble away at the dead skin as the hot water in which they thrive doesn’t support much plant or aquatic life. They feed on whatever food sources are available—but don’t worry they won’t eat live skin because, without teeth, they can’t bite.
[Ankeera, Customer]:
“Initially it’s a bit scary. For me it was, because I was shivering and all but otherwise, once you get doing it, you try, its okay. It’s a sudden feeling and it’s really very funny. It’s a very nice feeling.”
The fish don’t do the job alone, though. After 15 to 30 minutes customers get a standard pedicure, now much easier by the softer skin left behind.

Hair removal with sugar demonstration–2

Hello,
I’m just sharing this second video to compliment the first one I put up for sugaring.
This may help new users as how I sugar and this will show how quick and simple it is.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.
I remove hair with sugar and it’s been a very safe method used in the world for centuries.
I have sensitive skin and I also have concerns about using synthetic chemicals in my home because I have children. I always try to find a safe alternative to everything I use in my home.
This is edible; it’s washable, it doesn’t stain you or your clothes, if you happen to get it in your eyes; it’s not going to blind you…but, read the back of the bottles of many hair removers…you have to be very careful.
I am a clumsy lady and I don’t need anything that requires me to be that careful. LOL
Seriously though; we all want smooth skin, we want to save money, we can!!
Hugs!!!
Take care!

Sugaring for Hair Removal~Nina’s Technique
August 9, 2008 by admin
I love this recipe which I have used for a long while. Sugaring is a tried and true method of simple hair removal.
Just as you may purchase hair removal wax, you can make your own hair removal product that only require sugar, lemon juice and water!
For centuries, women have relied on this and similar methods.
Sugaring is safe to use and is great for body and face.
All hair textures seem to work well with this recipe.
For best results, allow hair to be longer than a stubble…this will allow hair to be “grabbed” in the sugar.
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup water
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Bring down to a simmer once you have brought this to a boil. Adjust temperature as needed and continue stirring until mixture is a rich brown or amber color.
Pour into freezer quality plactic containers or mason jars (run jar under hot tap water and dry before using to avoid cracking glass)
Place lid on jar after product has cooled to room temperature or warm enough to handle.
Any questions?
Just send a message here or to my page.
Thank you!!
