Serasi Jewelry

Serasi Jewelry takes its name from an Indonesian expression for harmonious coexistence of personalities and styles. The work of artisan jeweler Rosa Czarnomski is always engaging and sleek without being too minimalist. This aesthetic reflects the dichotomy of a West Coast designer and her strong Indonesian heritage.
Born and raised in Java, Indonesia, Rosa Czarnomski came to the United States to pursue a degree, not as an artist, but an engineer in Seattle. Returning home with her degree from the University of Washington, Rosa worked in the Indonesian corporate world for a
few years before she decided to leave the country once again during a time of political unrest and economic crisis. Now back in the United States, Rosa has experienced an artistic rebirth and a desire to leave the corporate world to refine her natural gift for creating jewelry.
Rosa draws upon the things she loves in creating Serasi Jewelry. Jazz music, martinis, fruits and vegetables in her kitchen, and all things that bring her joy find their way into Serasi Jewelry. Her pieces are created with semi-precious stones, wire-working, and textile techniques. There is an element of surprise carefully embedded in each necklace, earrings, and bracelet as bright and muted colors keep constant balance against the glitter of the metal and stones with which she is working. Her engineering pedigree is not lost on her jewelry, but found in the meticulousness to her designs that foil well into the whimsy of each piece.
