What does a detox diet do?
Discharges the organism: By abstaining from some foods the body stops being overload with harmful substances.
Accelerates the metabolism: With diet, many nutrients are provided accelerating the elimination of old toxins and stimulating cell renewal. When cells are renewed the overall health improves and you look and feel younger.
It supplies the body with natural foods: Because most of the nutritional value of food is lost by cooking the detox diet requires the consumption of natural and raw foods.
It relieves the body from harmful toxins: In order for this to have an effect smoking, alcohol, caffeine and widely used medications should be avoided.(if you take medication for a specific condition you should discuss this with your doctor first).
When to start?
As your body starts to expel the trapped toxins you may feel fatigue and muscle pains, mood swings, headaches. Select a period of time that you do not have much work, stress and socialization. If you are working start a Friday in order to not feel tired the first few days of your detox diet.
