make up in the 18th century was heavier, and men, women and children all wore it. white lead was used to whiten the complexion, which was accompanied by flaming red cheeks and lips. eyebrows were accentuated with pencils or concealed beneath false eyebrows made of mouse fur - ew!!
apply face make up which should be as pale as possible
rub a reddy pink blusher onto the apples of your cheeks
define eyebrows
sweep a peach colour over your eyelids.
blend a brown colour into eyesocket
line upper and lower lashes with brown eyeliner
curl lashes then apply brown mascara
line lips with a light red lipliner and fill in with red lip colour.
to finish the look apply a little beauty spot under nose and on your cheek.

the color institute make up kit
body collection eyeshadow palette
no7 amazing eyes pencil - brown
constance carroll lots of lashes mascara - brown
revlon vital radiance lip duo - coral
active eyeliner - black

in the 17th century,men and women used make up to a limited degree. ceruse was used as a base and a cheek and lip reddener were sometimes applied. from the late 1600s, make up began to get heavier. first, white paint was applied then a white powder, followed by a brownish rouge and a red lip colour.
beauty patches were also frequently applied to the face and body to cover smallpox scars.
apply face make up which should be very pale
sweep a bright pink blusher to cheeks
define eyebrows
sweep a light pink over eyelids
finish eyes with a brown mascara
stain lips with a dark red lip colour
to finish the look draw a small star and heart on both sides of the face and a beauty spot under the nose.
