Whether rightly or wrongly, we’re probably subconsciously thinking she’s wearing her boyfriend’s sweat shirt. That thought in turn makes us think about what they were doing together before she threw on his top and headed downtown. The elegant necklace, the baggy old man’s sweater and the images associated with it combine to make her look like a super model, even if she didn’t give a thought to it when she left her house.

Strange, isn’t it, how and expensive necklace and a faded old oversized top can have such an effect? When she put on the top, it may very well have simply been because she was cold, but after she’s seen how passersby react to her, she will definitely be using that combination again.

Another way that jewelry is put to good effect is with antique engagement rings. These are very popular with women. They buy them because they’re often cheaper than new rings and also beautifully designed. The fact that they are engagement rings is beside the point. Another nice thing about these rings is that they seem to go with just about any apparel. You can wear them with jeans or you can wear them with your most elegant cocktail dress. They are the perfect all occasion accessory.

And don’t forget the shoes, either. Instead of thinking you have to wear flat shoes for casual wear and heels for evening wear, try bucking the trend and wearing heels with jeans and white running shoes with a black evening dress. You’re sure to make an impression!
