you are so right, I have oily hair and as a teenager I used shampoo for oily hair that stripped it dry and used no conditioner! It just proves that you live and learn because I have way better hair now that use the conditioner and serum.

years ago there was a vitamin capsule made by pantene that was the best stuff ive ever EVER used in my hair for restorative treatments… its a shame i can’t find it anymore.=( Biolage’s smoothing shine milk is the bomb for a leave in conditioner that isn’t oily or heavy.

Yepp I did that too, instead it got too dry and then after awhile even more oily than before.
Shampoo is really the easiest product to choose, the softest there is… then it can be a bit more tricky to find the right conditioner, but there are good stuff nowadays.

I probably dont use …
I probably dont use the softest shampoo out there but its for colour treated hair which is meant to be gentler. I watched a video earlier saying that higher end shampoo/conditoners are more drying because they have more silicones in them. Not sure if that is true but I use Loreal Elvive and its not overdrying on the ends were I have a problem. Hmmmm greasy roots and dry ends, its a bit of a dilemma:)

I would think that silicone would protect the hair not damage it, but I have never heard about that.
I go for the baby shampoo
I would use a soft shampoo then, and only put conditioner on the ends. That why your ph level will balance itself out after a while.
